n 2011 Kyary Pamyu Pamyu debuted “Pon Pon Pon”, produced by Yasutaka Nakata, and in 2016 she celebrated her 5th Anniversary by completing 5 challenges; Kyary produced a ride at Universal Studio Japan, released “KPP BEST” the best of, went on another world tour “KPP 5iVE YEARS MONSTER WORLD TOUR 2016” , collaborated with Charli XCX, and launched an art exhibit.
2017 brings another busy year for Kyary; she released a single titled “Harajuku Iyahoi”, completed her “KPP JAPAN IYAHOI TOUR 2017”, and now she releases a new music video “Easta”, to bring Japan their first ever Easter-party song.
“Easta” was produced by Yasutaka Nakata / CAPSULE for Kyary as Japan’s first ever Easter-party song. The music video was directed by Eri Sad and sees Kyary ballet dancing, having taken lessons since 3 years old. A lot of sports outfit are designed by Kyary herself.
I find this video very cute and pop, and I think I can say that for a lot of my videos, perhaps. “Easter” verbally sounds like Japanese words ‘ii start” which means ‘good start’ in English, and I really meant that in the video. I want you all to have a good start for this spring, new life, and want you to try new things and move forward with a positive attitude, that’s what I wished for when I designed the sports themed wardrobe.
“Easta” is released on April 5th, and the download will follow.
